Working with Chris was a pleasure from day 1. He was a calming, constant voice through the entire build process. From initial plan development through even today, almost 5 years later. To this day, when I call Chris with a question, he still answers my calls and offers to help with whatever I may need. His advice was priceless during our build, and is still just as valuable today. This is not something we've experienced with any other builder, and this was our 4th home build, so we had a decent amount of experience. Further, we had the added challenge of building during the pandemic. Supply chains were effected, finishes were delayed, materials were delayed, subcontractors contracted covid and would have delays. There were so many challenges stacked against Chris during our build, and he literally handled it all and never let us feel any of the added stress. He juggled schedules to accommodate whatever obstacles were thrown his way, and miraculously, delivered our home in January of 2021, during the heart of the covid pandemic. Even more importantly, he delivered everything we wanted without sacrificing quality or selection choices at a time when many builders experienced huge delays due to their poor planning. To this point, the home Chris built for us is of exceptional quality. There were times during the build when Chris would have a subcontractor remove finished work they had completed because he was not happy with the craftmanship. Things that we would never have noticed, Chris was on top of it all. He would have these items fixed long before we would even notice them. He is a perfectionist and, almost 5 years later, we thank our lucky stars we found Chris for our build. Our home has been through Hurricanes, crazy winds, Florida sun and heat, and it still looks brand new. We could not be happier or feel more secure in our home, and we have Chris to thank for it. Based on my experience working with Chris, I have recommended him to multiple people interested in building a new home, including my best friend and business partner. I would suggest meeting a few builders. See if any of them bring a pad and take notes at your meetings. See if you receive a follow-up email with everything you discussed and the changes that you all agreed to, so there can be no confusion or miscommunications. Test the waters. It really will not take you long to see the difference. It's obvious. At first it may even be a little hard to believe, but it's true, Chris McCarthy is the real deal.

We built our first home with Chris in 2006 in Windermere Florida. As we were building from long distance overseas, this created some challenges, but Chris immediately took the responsibility, dealt with everything and created a wonderful home for us. We subsequently built several other homes with Chris and each one was delivered with care and attention to detail.
